Terms of Service

Last updated: July 7, 2026

These terms govern your use of Speaky, an IELTS Speaking practice app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them.

Speaky is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to IDP Education, the British Council, Cambridge Assessment English, or the official IELTS test. Practicing with Speaky does not guarantee any particular exam result.

1. Using Speaky

Speaky lets you practice IELTS Speaking Part 1, 2 & 3 questions, record your spoken answers, and (optionally) track your progress. You can use the core practice features without creating an account.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials secure.
  • An account can be signed in on one device at a time — signing in on a new device will sign you out of the previous one.
  • You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app.

3. Free features & tokens

All question content, the Spin feature, and practicing itself are free. Tokens are a one-time purchase you spend on AI answer evaluation, transcription, full mock exams, and sample-answer reveals — see Pricing for current packages and exact costs per action.

Token packs are bought and managed entirely through the Apple App Store billing system:

  • Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Token packs are one-time, non-renewing purchases — there is no subscription and nothing auto-renews.
  • Tokens do not expire and remain in your balance until spent; they have no cash value and aren't redeemable for cash.
  • All purchases are final. Speaky does not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds itself — refund requests go through Apple's or Google's standard purchase-refund process.

4. Your recordings & content

Recordings you make while practicing belong to you and are stored locally on your device. Question content, sample answers, and other material provided within Speaky are owned by Speaky (or licensed to it) and may not be copied, redistributed, or used to build a competing product.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer or attempt to extract Speaky's question bank at scale for redistribution; interfere with or disrupt the app or its backend services; or use another person's account without permission.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

Speaky is provided "as is." We work to keep the question bank accurate and the app reliable, but we don't guarantee it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that using it will result in any particular IELTS Speaking band score.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speaky and its creator are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of locally stored recordings or progress data.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using Speaky and delete your account at any time.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Speaky evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do, and material changes will be flagged in the app.
